Graduate Credits

Participants earn three graduate credits upon successful completion of a course. Grades are based on a slide and essay exam.

Course Requirements

Students are expected to attend all classes, site visits, and excursions. Classes and excursions begin promptly at the designated time; latecomers cannot be accommodated. Grades are based on class participation (20%), and a final slide identification and essay exam (80%).

Due to the small size of these seminars, friends and family cannot join the class for lectures, walks, or site visits.

The courses are moderately physically challenging and require hours of walking and standing.

Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations must be made in writing and received before the indicated dates below. Cancellations should be mailed to the Office of Pre-Enrollment Programs, Parsons remove and change to Parsons SPACE, 66 Fifth Avenue, Room 200, New York, NY 10011 or summer@newschool.edu.

Prior to April 1, full refund of tuition.
Prior to May 1, refund of tuition payment less 20% penalty.
After May 1, no tuition refund.

Please note: These are firm deadlines and no exceptions to this policy will be granted. Should a course be canceled due to low enrollment, a full refund of tuition and housing fees will be issued.
