Adam Brent: Drawing, Portfolio Development
Adam Brent received his BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and his MFA in sculpture from Parsons School of Design. With the use of materials from everyday life, Brent attempts to author an immediate familiarity or presence with his objects and imagery. His work focuses on reflecting the present through a direct use of media and medium.

Andrea DeFlorio: Drawing, Portfolio Development
Andrea received a Bachelor of Art from Yale University in Graphic Design and Photography. She has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and Central America, and studied painting and drawing in Paris before returning to New York to complete her Master of Fine Art at Parsons School of Design. Andrea has shown at Artists Space, Luxe Gallery, and A.I.R. Gallery in NY, NY, and Gallery 28, Savannah, GA, and Logan Gallery, Chautauqua, NY.

Steven Faerm: Fashion Design
Steven Faerm earned a B.F.A. in Fashion from Parsons School of Design. Faerm is currently a designer and illustrator with Michael Akers Inc. Previous clients have included Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, The Gap, ICB, and Kenneth Richard.

Anne Gaines: Drawing and Painting
Anne Gaines, artist, lives and works in the artist-rich community of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She focuses her art on her local surroundings and uses paint to show the beauty of the common things in daily life. Her art making occurs because of a desire to record and reconstruct the visual world that surrounds her with paint. Gaines earned her B.F.A. from Memphis College of Art and a M.F.A. in painting from Parsons School of Design.

Cynthia Gallagher: Drawing
Cynthia Gallagher. Painter. Solo exhibitions include 55 Mercer Street, NYC, Grace Borgenicht Gallery, NYC, Johnson and Johnson, N J, Espace Croix Baragnon, Toulouse, France. Selected group exhibitions include "Critical Perspectives" P.S.1, Long Island City, NY, "newtalent/Printmaking", Castelli Graphics, NYC, "First Parrish Art Museum Design Biennial", Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, NY. Awards include New York Foundation of the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts. Her work is held in many collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and Salomon Brothers and has been widely reviewed and published in catalogs. Gallagher holds a BFA from Philadelphia University of the Arts BFA and an from Queens College. She teaches in the Foundation Department at Parsons School of Design.

Steve Kennedy: Graphic Design
Steve Kennedy is an adjunct professor at Parsons School of Design. He has taught typography, type identification and printing history for the Typographers Association of New York (TANY). He is president of the Goudy Society, a member of the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, and a past vice-president of the Typographers Association. Kennedy is the author of numerous articles and monographs on typography and printing history.

Thaddeus Radell: Painting
Thaddeus Radell is a painter whose teaching experience includes Parsons School of Design, En Plein Air Workshops based in Paris, the Lacoste School of Art in France and extensive private studio classes. Radell received a MFA from Parsons School of Design and is represented by Maurice Arlos Fine Art, New York.

Emily Reidman: Foundations of Design, Focus on Three Dimensions
Emily Riedman is a native New Yorker and a graduate of the Fine Arts and Education departments at Parsons School of Design. She holds her New York State certification to teach art grades K-12 and is a current graduate student in the Media Studies program, New School University as well as a program advisor in the Art and Design Education Department, Parsons School of Design.

Alex Talavera: Drawing
Alex Talavera received his BFA from Parsons School of Design and completed studies in Art Education at Parsons School of Design and the Bank Street College of Education. He has been teaching art to young adults and children through the New York City Studio in a School program as well as drawing and painting for the Parsons School of Design Summer Intensive Studies Program.

Lauren Weinstein: Animation Design
Lauren R. Weinstein lives and works in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She is best known for her dark and surreal comics for Seattle's weekly newspaper, The Stranger, and the popular web site for adolescent girls, www.gurl.com. There, her comics generate thousands of emails from teenage girls. Her work has also appeared in the Chicago Reader, The New York Times, The New York Press, Bust, and Heeb magazines and in anthologies such as The Ganzfeld, and Kramer's Ergot. She also regularly performs her comics at the slide show extravaganza, Carousel with such artists as Bob Sikoryak, Brian Dewan, and Kaz. By day she is also a devoted educator, teaching comics to kids at Parsons School of Design and The 92nd St. Y, and to adults at Makor. By night she is the blond front woman for the greco-roman southern boogie dance band, Flaming Fire, (www.flamingfire.com). She is currently working on her next book about robots and teenage girls that will be published in early 2004. Check out www.vineyland.com for details.

Nadia Williams: Fashion Design
Nadia Williams is a graduate of Parsons BFA Fashion Design program. Her work experience includes designing for Gap Kids and Banana Republic, as well as several design internships and awards. She has taught ESL in Mexico, as well as in New York, where she has also done career counseling for city youth.

Amy Yang: Foundations of Art and Design, Focus on Two-Dimensions
Amy Yang is an artist and art educator. She is an art instructor with Parsons School of Design, Studio in a School, and Medical Center Nursery School. Amy lives and works in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She has a BFA from New York University, Ticsh School of the Arts.
