Design & Technology
Design and Technology is available as a direct entry major or as an alternative freshman track leading to other studio majors.
Applicants interested in the radical changes in art and design brought on by the digital information age should apply for the four year BFA Design and Technology program. The primary focus is digital technology. Computer systems, interface design and cognitive psychology, robotics, animation and broadcast design constitute just a few of the topics. While prior digital expertise is not required, prospective students may include work in their portfolios that highlights digital experience such as web design, animation or digital video.
Design & Technology Portfolio
Submit a portfolio consisting of either digital work or other examples of demonstrating your studio experience. You may use digital media, video, programming, photography, drawing and graphic design work. Work may be presented in either slide form or CD-Rom.
